It's been a little quiet on my blog lately because I'm in the process of moving to Seattle to start a new job. I'm very excited about the adventure, but between interviewing and apartment searching I haven't had much time to write. Things should pick up blog-wise in a couple of weeks. Bear with me!
In the meantime: Rent a truck or hire movers? Please discuss.

Hire movers to load your stuff into the truck in Portland and then out of the truck in Seattle. You can drive the rig to save some money. Just a thought.
Depends on how many friends you can get to help move the stuff. Side note: check out the Columbia City neighborhood SE of Seattle. It's developing and very Portland-esque. Another artsy area is Fremont.
